How Splash works
Here's the simple version. Splash talks to the charger you already have, using the open standard it already speaks. Nothing to buy, nothing to rewire, nothing new on your wall. And you decide when it's used, every time.

It speaks your charger’s language.
Most home chargers already use a shared open standard called OCPP. It's how chargers and apps talk to each other, and Splash speaks it too. So there's nothing to install. If your charger is online and reasonably recent, it almost certainly works with Splash already. We support 15+ brands, and if yours isn't on the list, message us and we'll check.

It only acts during a booking.
When a guest books a slot, Splash starts that one session, stops it at the end, and notes how much charge was used. That's the whole job. The rest of the time your charger sits quietly, doing nothing for us. No watching, no waiting in the background, no surprises.
You stay in control.
Block off the hours you need the charger yourself. Set your own price. Decide exactly who gets to use it, thanks to Know-your-guest (KYG), so you always know who's pulling onto your driveway. If your plans change, your plans win. Every time.
It works with your cheap hours.
If your electricity plan has the same cheap window every night, like a set overnight rate, you're sorted. Scheduled charging lines your charge up with those cheaper hours so you pay less, automatically. If you're on a plan where the cheap hours move around day to day, like Octopus Intelligent Go, there's one small step: flip the smart-charging setting off in your charger's own app so Splash can run the session. It's a one-time thing, and we'll walk you through it on WhatsApp.

Keep your own charger app.
Splash doesn't take over. Your charger's own app keeps working exactly as it does now. Charge your own car whenever you like, and share only the hours you weren't going to use anyway.
